{"id":1835,"date":"2018-09-13T21:58:16","date_gmt":"2018-09-14T00:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.translators.cl\/mundochile\/?p=1835"},"modified":"2018-10-22T21:59:55","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T00:59:55","slug":"cyberspace-challenges-for-the-security-and-defense-of-chile-in-the-21st-century","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.translators.cl\/mundochile\/2018\/09\/cyberspace-challenges-for-the-security-and-defense-of-chile-in-the-21st-century\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cCyberspace: challenges for the security and defense of Chile in the 21st century\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to get together leading experts in the field of Defense and hold a debate on the main threats and opportunities in this area, the Army conducted the following institutional seminar: \u201cCyberspace: challenges with regard to Chile\u2019s security and defense in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It was held in the \u201cCapit\u00e1n Ignacio Carrera\u201d auditorium of the \u201cEj\u00e9rcito Bicentenario\u201d Building and hosted by the Minister of National Defense, Alberto Espina O. and the Army Commander-in-Chief, General Ricardo Mart\u00ednez M.<\/p>\n<p>During this seminar, General Mart\u00ednez referred to the importance of cyberspace \u2013 an environment for social interaction \u2013 whose potentialities have multiplied as a result of the rapid evolution of IT and the effects of a globalized world.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the US Air Force, General Robert H. Latiff, lectured on the implications of current technological trends for the future development of cybernetic dominance.<\/p>\n<p>During this meeting, the Finnish academic, Pasi Eronen gave a talk on \u201cThe implications of current technological trends for the future development of cybernetic dominance\u201d, the Spanish Air Force Officer, General Carlos G\u00f3mez L\u00f3pez de Medina lectured on \u201cCyber-defense in Spain\u201d, the British Brigadier, Mark C.
