3rd Conference: In the Era of Artificial Intelligence. How can companies move forward?

The 3^rd conference - “In the Era of Artificial Intelligence” - was held in the W Hotel in Santiago on October 16, with an important gathering of attendees.

The main issues revolved around the application of Artificial Intelligence which has meant the need for new professionals to innovate and disrupt inside companies.

It is a well-known fact that there is still a lack of AI talent in Latin America and youngsters are needed who specialize in this area; also there is scant investment in R&D. In Chile, for example, there is a dearth of training and, in comparison with leading countries in this field, it receives investments of only 4.5% of GDP. For this reason, there is a lack of professionals in Chile.

But, on the other hand, advantage has to be taken of technology in a digital world where no frontiers exist and where it is vital getting to know what types of skills a company may need, even though the person is not physically required. We are living in a world of co-working and freelance which provides us with the possibility of adding skills we hitherto did not possess. This is a way in which to add jobs to the workforce.
